Volunteer Barn Builders is a directory and listing service. We are not a builder.
We do not sell building kits. We do not erect pole barns, finish barndominiums, or warranty anyone’s work. What we do is keep an organized, browsable list of post frame builders serving Tennessee, with East Tennessee as the home focus, plus plain language cost guides so buyers can plan before they start calling.
Volunteer Barn Builders is run locally, based in Anderson County, Tennessee.
Why This Site Exists
Search for a barn builder in Tennessee and you will find individual builders marketing themselves, national content sites with generic list articles, and at least one “review of builders” written by a builder. There is no neutral, Tennessee focused place where a buyer can see who builds pole barns, who does turnkey barndominiums, who serves their county, and what these buildings roughly cost.
This directory is that place: an open list you can read, organized by build type and service area, with phone numbers shown up front. No form required. No charge to look.
How Listings Work
- Basic listings are free for businesses.
- Listing information comes from public sources, such as builder websites and dealer locators, and from the builders themselves, and from updates builders send us.
- Each listing shows the business name, phone, website, build types, service area, and whether the builder offers shell only, turnkey, or both, where the builder has shared it.
- A listing is not an endorsement. We do not verify quality, and we do not guarantee any builder’s work, pricing, or timeline.
Buyers should do the same checks they would do anywhere: confirm licensing and insurance for the work involved, look at finished buildings, talk to past customers, and get the full scope and price in a written contract before paying a deposit.
How This Site Makes Money
We want to be honest about this too. The directory is free for buyers and free for a basic builder listing. In the future, builders may be able to pay for featured placement, clearly marked as featured, to appear more prominently. Featured placement would be advertising, not a quality ranking, and we will label it that way if and when it exists.
For Builders
- Get listed: If you build pole barns, barndominiums, agricultural barns, or horse barns in Tennessee and are not listed, send us your business name, phone, website, build types, service area, and whether you build shell only, turnkey, or both.
- Fix a listing: Wrong phone number, changed service area, new build types? Tell us and we will update it.
- Remove a listing: If you do not want to be listed, contact us and we will take it down.
