Coverage Areas

Pole barn and barndominium builders do not work like city contractors. Most are regional: a builder’s crews may cover a two hour radius, and buyers routinely compare builders from across their half of the state. So this directory covers Tennessee statewide, with the deepest listings and local cost context in East Tennessee, where the site is based.

Builders set their own service areas. Check the service area line on each listing, and confirm your county when you contact a builder. Distance affects price, because crews and materials have to travel.

East Tennessee (Home Region)

The Knoxville area and the counties around it, including Anderson, Knox, Blount, Loudon, Roane, Campbell, Union, Morgan, Scott, Sevier, and Jefferson counties, and the Tri-Cities area farther east. This is the region with the most listings and the focus of our local guides.

Common projects here: shops and equipment barns in the valley counties, barndominiums on ridge and lake area land, and horse barns around the established horse communities.

Middle Tennessee

The Nashville area, the Upper Cumberland around Cookeville and Monterey, and the southern counties toward the Alabama line. Several larger post frame companies are based in this part of the state and send crews into East Tennessee, so Middle Tennessee builders appear in the listings alongside local ones.

West Tennessee

The Memphis area, Jackson, and the rural counties between them. Coverage here is thinner at launch and will grow over time. Builders listed statewide may still serve West Tennessee projects, so it is worth checking listings marked statewide.
